French Quarter, Jazz in NYC is a innovative device of showcases destined to argue the energy of the new french jazz scene close to professionals of the whole world present at New York on occasion of the APAP and Winter Jazz Festival.

Led by artists like Avishai Cohen, Yaron Herman, Omer Avital, Israel has become one of the great scenes of international jazz. After New York and Paris, Tel-Aviv is now the 3rd jazz capital in the world, as the musicians' pool is abundant, facilitated by a remarkable network of music schools. Integrating so subtly Arab harmonies inherited from traditional music to jazz, the Israeli scene is open to the world and probably carries more than a musical color: a symbol of peace through music.

Proclaimed in November 2011 by UNESCO, the International Jazz Day is held each April, the 30th in a hundred countries in 5 continents, to promote jazz as part of universal dialogue and a factor of peace between people.

 

In Paris,  the Association is the official organizer since 2013. Concerts, showcases, masterclasses and workshops are held for free to 2000 people each year. In 2015, Paris Jazz Club was requested to manage jazz events all over the city on the occasion of the great Jazz evening at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

Thanks to the success of the jazz discovery worshops organized during Jazz sur Seine Festival since 2013, Paris Jazz Club won a public contract of the City Hall of Paris to roll out jazz dicovery workshops in numerous primary schools all over the year.

Youngs Parisians are sensitized to jazz thus through musical listening, jazz history, instrumental and vocal practice around some revisited jazz standards, supervised by professional artists.
