A must-see event for the emerging jazz scene in France, the eighteenth edition of the Young Talent Springboard will once again be an opportunity for the public to discover new talent, as well as the future big names of jazz music. This contest is the one and only way the festival can scout for the jazz talents of tomorrow so as to accompany them on the way to becoming professionals. The jury, made up of music industry experts, will designate a winner on May 19th, 2019. The formation chosen will leave with prizes to help support their dream.

  • The BNP Paribas Foundation is giving out a cash priwe of €2,000 to the winner

WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE DANIEL ET NINA CARASSO FOUNDATION TO PROMOTE HELP WITH PROFESSIONALIZATION AND RECORDING:

  • a training in stage coaching, professional structuring and musical production/direction;
  • support of the winner for a year;
  • search for a tour manager;
  • PR management of the artist;
  • one day of recording.

Help with recording an album:

  • 3 days of recording and 3 days of mixing at a preferential price (50% of the public rate) offered by Sextan, festival provider.

Artistic support in nature:

  • Selmer soloist prize: one instrument to the best saxophonist or clarinetist, courtesy of Selmer Paris;
  • songwriting consulting.

Support with circulation:

  • one concert, courtesy of Sunset Sunside Jazz Club as part of “Discovery night”
  • a concert booked for the next edition of the Jaz à Saint-Germain-des-Prés festival
  • a concert for the next edition of Jazz au Marcille in Fleury-Mérogis.
     

Help with professionalization:

  • networking with labels and promoters for the artist and their music project: support with kickstarting the project through communications agency La Mission;
  • Rehearsals: 20 hours of free rehearsals at the UMJ Studios.
