Composed of the leading soloists of contemporary jazz, the Black Art Jazz Collective has a simple and salutary goal: to create a platform for artists of the same generation to collaborate musically and to promote the recognition of African-American cultures and cultures. BAJC recalls similar creative groups established at different times in the history of jazz, and is clearly designed to highlight the impressive instrumental and compositional abilities of each member. The repertoire also reveals a deliberate reference to the deep-rooted history of jazz and the African-American civil rights movement. This collective co-founded by musicians Jonathan Blake, Wayne Escoffery and Jeremy Pelt celebrates "Black Culture" through jazz, in all that is most positive and radiant! The event not to be missed.

Jeremy Pelt – trumpet
Wayne Escoffery – sax
James Burton – trombone
Xavier Davis – piano
Corcoran Holt – bass
Jonathan Blake – drums
