Antoine Martin & Wolf Trap

Wolf Trap is a group that brings together four young musicians around the music of saxophonist Antoine Martin. After a long acoustic and jazz period, they finally opt for a more electric music, inspired by artists like Donny McCaslin, Christian Scott, but also Thom Yorke, Coldplay, Arcade Fire or by punk music, electronic music etc. Through the mix of a rock guitar, a saxophone with electric effects, and a solid bass-drums, these 4 musicians have managed to develop a unique sound universe. Antoine Martin's compositions, based on lyrical melodies, pop-tinged harmonies and simple bass lines, create an explosive, futuristic jazz, and make Wolf Trap a group that stands out from most of the jazz bands of his generation.
