Soirée Showcases Jazz Sur Seine 2019 Au Duc Des Lombards

7:30 P.M. - In Creole, the word washa is an interjection to say the moment, the flash. The album "WASHA!" is part of the aesthetics of contemporary jazz. It is in quintet that Maher Beauroy delivers us a first original, energetic and fiery album inspired by his Afro-Caribbean roots, classical music and his travels. The pianist alternates freely lyricism and tempest of rhythmic pulsations. "WASHA!" crystallizes this moment of departure and emancipation. It is the sound of the blade that opens a path in the high grass, it is the crash of the waves facing all horizons.
