Forged in the Balkans and admirably blending Eastern and Western sensibilities, Srdjan Ivanovic's melodies and rhythms boldly and spiritedly demonstrate his willingness to play exploratory, pioneering and innovative jazz. Here they present music from their fourth album, Sleeping Beauty, released in the spring of 2021 on the Parisian label Coolabel and in New York on MoonJune Records. Recognised by The Downbeat as "a band that twists and changes conventions", the Blazin' have surprised audiences and critics alike since their debut. 4 exceptional musicians, a rich and flamboyant project: Manu Codjia, genius improviser, hunter of new sounds; the very active and much in demand in France and internationally, Yoni Zelnik on double bass (Youn Sun Nah, Geraldine Laurent, Yonathan Avishai... ); the subtle and inspired trumpet player Olivier Laisney; the original and organic sound of Srdjan Ivanovic on drums.
