The sextet Lucie Guillem & Band gathers around original arrangements of traditional jazz. It puts forward a vocal and instrumental jazz, mixing the aesthetics of standards from the 1930s to the 1960s with personal pop-folk compositions and does not hesitate to play with the codes of classic jazz to offer a sparkling and magnetic stage performance! Composed of accomplished musicians, the Lucie Guillem sextet offers a musical experience in which vocals converse with inventive solos.

A music between delicacy and spontaneity. The Lucie Guillem sextet honours the medium-sized band, with sounds of the Jazz Messengers and the first Miles Davis quintet. Influenced by the customs of these formations, it presents original arrangements directly inspired by Frank Carter, Count Basie, Nelson Riddle, or Duke Ellington. Lucie Guillem sings and interprets the music in a journey with multiple stops where different musical aesthetics are mixed. With a background in theatre, Lucie invites you to discover her world, which she has been singing since she was very young, with interpretation at the forefront. A jazzy evening with a young artist full of talent to be discovered as part of JazzDemain!
