Louis Billette Quintet

Louis is the kind of musician we love, because we feel that his connexion to music is deep.Music is not only a part of his life, but the way for him to connect with something out there that cannot be reached through rational thought and experience. Immersion was a contemplative and deep first album, but also fresh. His second album Concordance was one’s take on musicians like Bach, Tracy Chapman, Mozart, or Wayne Shorter. Both projects were infused with the pictorial work of his brother Romain, who is one of his most important inspirations. Le temps d’une vie was written on a whim before a tour, with the intention of making your head rock. But we can’t say it’s just about that. There is always something more with Louis’ music, especially with these musicians playing it.
