Inspired by the great jazz and soul singers such as Billie Holiday and Aretha Franklin, Louise was introduced to music and singing at an early age.
Of French origin, it is nevertheless in Spain that she made her first scenes.
Settled in France since 2015, Louise meets in Paris the musicians who will form her quintet. Saxophone, piano, double bass and drums give life to her compositions and arrangements.
Influenced by traditional jazz and, more generally, by Afro-American music, Louise brings together these four musicians around her compositions, but also standards of the Great American Songbook, which they revisit together with a touch of modernity oscillating between jazz, pop and soul.
The quintet combines these different styles and, in search of sincerity, favors simplicity in both the written music and the improvisation. This results in a rich and varied repertoire, with very personal colors.
One finds there the influences of artists such as Fats Waller, Horace Silver, Etta James or Gregory Porter.
