Her fragile, fresh voice is instantly recognisable. Billie Holiday charms by literally juggling the notes; she is the epitome of the jazz singer par excellence! The Lady of the Gardenias, also known as "Lady Day", died in 1959, leaving behind magnificent albums such as "Lady In Satin" and "Billie Holiday", as well as "Strange Fruit", her first big hit, a poignant song denouncing the lynchings suffered by many African-Americans in the South of the United States at that time. Tricia Evy, a singer with an impressive vocal range, travels the world with her music and her exceptional voice, Billie Holiday being one of her greatest sources of inspiration. She invites Thomas Bramerie, an outstanding double bass player with a sensitive touch who tours and records with Dee Dee Bridgewater, Emmanuel Pahud and Jacky Terrasson.
