Penrose

Like the PENROSE triangle used endlessly by Escher to deceive our eyes, this trio seeks to propose different points of view to the listener by playing rhythmic games. This album contains the basic elements of the jazz tradition, a strong rhythmic structure, a search for melodies and an emphasis on improvisation. The rhythmic aspect takes a fundamental place in this trio. Current jazz, sound textures, odd meters but with a special attention to keep a warm sound like the one found in the jazz of the 50s/60s which remains one of the main influences of this trio.
