For their first common project, the Jassef brothers decide to explore the traditional music of Occitania, their region of heart. This vast space, which stretches from Bearn to Piedmont via Gascony, Languedoc, Auvergne or Provence, provides them with an infinite reservoir of poems, melodies and peasant songs, from which they extract the backbone of their new music. With the help of their chamber music training, they adapt these fragments, mix them into their compositions, while leaving plenty of room for improvisation and original texts, sung in the Occitan language.
