Estelle Perrault

Estelle Perrault dreams of Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday and is constantly immersed in listening to the great pianists she admires such as Bud Powell and Bobby Timmons. Her second album, Dare that Dream, is nourished by original compositions and standards and is conceived as an awakening to this luminous nostalgia. The timbre and the particular modulations of the voice of the 31 year old singer reconnect us to the spirit and the breath of the great jazz ladies of the 1930s. "Dare that Dream", the dream of being oneself, the dream of being fulfilled through music. Dare that Dream is also a nod to the jazz standard Darn that Dream (Jimmy Van Heusen, 1931). For her concert at l'Entrepôt, Estelle is accompanied on piano by Marc Priore and on double bass by Clément Daldosso.
