Navigating between New York and his native Andalusia, Antonio Lizana has become in a few years one of the most famous representatives of flamenco jazz. Saxophonist, singer and songwriter, he reinvents tradition by mixing high-flying jazz, embodied singing and Iberian rhythms. With him, the saxophone definitively gained citizenship in the flamenco instrumentarium. Antonio Lizana reconciles in his compositions apparent simplicity and melodic sophistication, inventing here the harmonious fusion between song, jazz, and flamenco, accompanied by a quartet composed of the fine flower of Madrid jazzmen.
