Young Israeli pianist who arrived in France at the age of 7, Nina started playing classical piano at the age of 9. A graduate of the Conservatoire Darius Milhaud in Aix en Provence and the CMDL, her main influences range from Bill Evans and Chet Baker to Shai Maestro, Brad Mehldau, Lianne La Havas and Norah Jones... A refreshing, spontaneous and sunny pianist, Nina mixes jazz, pop, folk, songs and instrumental pieces, with a gentle emphasis on melodies.
Valentin Martel, drummer, singer and guitarist, offers us a repertoire that has been built up over time and through encounters.
So many stories and anecdotes that he takes pleasure in sharing on stage with sincerity.
This multi-instrumentalist started playing drums as a teenager in a self-taught way, singing everything he played. It was therefore obvious that he decided to make more room for singing in his life and on stage. His complicity with bassist Marion Ruault is well known. They have been touring Europe for several years with their duo Just talk, a mixture of blues, folk and pop that matured during two years spent in Berlin. It was during their studies at the Didier Lockwood music centre that this rhythm section met the young and talented pianist Nina Gat, who gave rise to the desire to create this trio to revisit jazz standards together and colour them in their own way, as well as a new repertoire of compositions arranged for three.
"A trio full of sensitivity and talent, to be followed with attention!
