#JAZZSURSEINE2022

Born into a family of musicians, Clélya Abraham developed a passion for composition at an early age. Little by little, her efforts focused on the piano, the young musician feeling more intimate with the instrument that allowed her to create. At the age of 18, she turned more particularly to Jazz, Nu Soul and World Music (Africa, Caribbean, Reunion, Brazil), styles in which she flourished thanks to the freedom given by improvisation. She performs in various projects, as a leader or sidewoman (Abraham Trio, Maë Defays, Crafting quintet, Teddy Sorrès, Ora project, etc...). This third year of residency is therefore an opportunity for her to deepen her various projects, but above all to continue to explore and share new experiences, with renowned musicians such as Arnaud Dolmen, Tilo Bertholo, Balthazar Naturel, Sélène Saint-Aimé, Samuel F'hima, Antonin Fresson...

For her first residency date, Clélya Abraham invites us to an evening around the Afro-American singer Somi. Having discovered her a few years ago, she particularly liked her universe: jazz mixed with soul and African music, coupled with a clever contrast between rhythms rooted in the earth and a song that is often ethereal, poetic and bewitching. She will be surrounded by talented musicians from the Parisian jazz scene: Kévin Lazakis on guitar, Teddy Sorres on bass and Andy Berald-Catelo on drums.

So let yourself be seduced and #BeCurious!
