Named by TSF Jazz as the "new star of Caribbean jazz", Xavier Belin is a very promising young pianist. His music is often defined as "Caribbean jazz", "Creole jazz" or "Afro descendant jazz" because these terms make his music quickly identifiable. However, the pianist shows us through his music that these terms are only pleonasms, based on the fact that these musical styles come from the same essence.
