50 years after John Coltrane left us. He remains without a doubt the most emblematic and enigmatic musician of contemporary jazz. Leader of the avant-garde movement in the 1960s, John Coltrane is today considered one of the most revolutionary and influential saxophonists in the history of jazz. As an explorer of new timbres, harmonies and sounds, Coltrane expanded the conception of the saxophone's musical capabilities. His music is at once improvised, personal and dynamic, making him one of the major figures in jazz.

New talent of the hexagonal jazz, sideman and leader, Simon Chivallon likes above all, the stage! Light Blue, his latest album, goes with equal happiness from Monk to the Beatles, from Gabriel Fauré to Georges Brassens. The pianist assumes his love of melody and unveils a series of personal compositions that do not lack character. With a rare freshness of inspiration, his album brilliantly imposes the feeling and lyricism of an artist for whom jazz speaks for itself.

Simon Chivallon hosts the #PlaceAuxJeunes jam, one Sunday a month, accompanied by the talents of his generation, with generous tributes that speak to the greatest number. If jazz is a way of living music in the moment, Simon Chivallon is the embodiment of it, and each solo shows it by its spontaneity and its frankness. There is no room for pretence: what is played is what comes, a sensitivity that expresses itself, a talent that breathes and seeks to touch the listener.
