Tara Mehrad is an Iranian singer, songwriter and composer. Her alchemy with her group of exceptional musicians creates an unforgettable journey through her unique and borderless musical world. Her compositions with oriental colours are modern, rebellious and poetic. She performs her current album Bidari (awakening), with her powerful, generous and authentic voice, telling the story of her metamorphosis; a journey towards the encounter of magic through songs in Persian and French.

The singer became interested in music as a child, growing up with jazz, soul and blues. In Iran, music and singing are forbidden for women, so she left her country to come to France. Her musical world was born out of her search for freedom of expression. Her music is poetic, simple, romantic, sometimes revolutionary and mystical but always very intimate.
