The Young Trio

Tomas Young, a 34-year-old drummer, received his DEM for Jazz at the CRR in Boulogne-Billancourt in 2018. In addition to his various activities as a drummer and member of the GPSO Big Band, he decided in 2018 to create The Young Trio.
The Young Trio has already played a lot in Parisian clubs and festivals and won a 1st Young Hopeful Award at the prestigious Léopold Bellan Jazz Competition in 2019.
The Young Trio is a blend of tradition and modern jazz. Thus, influenced by Oscar Peterson and Christian Mcbride Trio, they joyfully distill a warm music tinged with swing, groove but also Afro-Cuban rhythms.
