On the occasion of the centenary of the first recording of Jazz, the 1001 NIGHTS OF JAZZ retrace in music, twice a month and through 100 great evening-concerts, the different stages of the epic of jazz in the historical setting of the Blomet Ball. Each of them is punctuated by short presentations of artists, standards, episodes or musicological notions of the history of jazz.
Raphaël Imbert, jazz saxophonist and speaker, accompanied by Johan Farjot, pianist and conductor, propose with their guests keys for general public access as well as a concert illustrating in music the topics addressed. One hundred artists representing the jazz scene and eager to renew the contemporary concert will succeed each other during the 1001 NUITS DU JAZZ. Among them are young talents from the Didier Lockwood Music Centre and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
THE 1001 NUITS DU JAZZ allow the public to rediscover a complete and recreational history of jazz since its origins, favouring the spirit of entertainment characteristic of the traditional jazz concert.
