Viviane Ginapé honors the rhythmic support of the text, the original lyrics as well as the "scat" or vocal improvisation. She owes her love for jazz to Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Sarah Vaughan, whom she interprets with passion. Eric Dolphy, Tania Maria, Milton Nascimento and Richie Beirach have added their Latin touch to her musical palette.  

A recognized singer and teacher of vocal expression and improvisation, the dynamism of the lyrics has a central place in her work, as does the range of possibilities offered by scat and vocal improvisation. Alternately percussive, instrumental or singer, Viviane's voice is fully invested in the present moment and never ceases to surprise us!
