Rémi Dumoulin Quartet

“This album draws its inspiration from listening to the music of Lennie Tristano, Warne Marsh and Lee Konitz. The eight compositions recorded are all from great standards. Borrowing their harmonico-rhythmic structures from Jazz standards mostly composed in the 1930s, their sinuous and asymmetrical melodic lines renew the potential for improvisation while standing out from the originals. Enough to dig (“Dig-it!”) the music with a shared enthusiasm. »
