After Nebula, his first trio album, pianist Michaël Vigneron returns with a quartet whose sensitive harmony infuses the same poetics. The modernist roots blossom here to be diluted with sophistication in the freedom of jazz.
The whole album sings the infinite immensity of feelings, in a chromaticism between Messian and Bill Evans, Debussy and Oscar Peterson, Ravel and Brad Mehldau. Where the sound molecules are arranged with finesse and poetic ebullience, throbbing, constructive, arborescent, aerial.
Elementia is an artistic reflection on the balance of the world through the elements and their interpretation. The project explores in a very personal style the notion of balance and space through personal compositions where each element and its personification cross the path of experience.
Surrounded by saxophonist Noé Moureaux-Néry, double bassist Grégoire Oboldouieff and drummer André Charlier, this album also tells the story of friendships and musical affinities, born in part at the CMDL (Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood).
Come and celebrate the release of the album at L'Entrepôt during a concert evening organised in partnership with the label Art District Music.
