Carte Blanche To Monika Kabasele

For her second residency at 38Riv, the Greco-Congolese singer, Monika Kabasele, proposes a new creation presented for the first time in Paris! Ehbam is a quartet that was created during the Babel sound festival in Hungary in July 2022. It is a musical creation that mixes composition and improvisation with oral culture and traditional music: be it jazz, Greek, Arabic or Egyptian music. The voices on Ehbam quartet form a harmonic context that serves as a support for the melodies and rhythms that vary between the different cultures proposed.
