The Gap Trio

These three musicians have been collaborating together since their studies at the Caen Conservatory, before formalizing their group in June 2019.

Mutually enriching each other with their multiple influences, both with the fastidious requirement of bebop and hardbop jazz of Gabriel, the different harmonic perspectives of Pierre-Louis and the percussive and rhythmic sensitivity of Antoine, the trio thus proposes an extremely broad and diversified repertoire, alternating between standards and personal compositions.

Drawing their ideas from classical music (from Beethoven to Brahms, from Bach to Chopin) and world music (Bulgarian claves, tango, and traditional songs) without forgetting the great jazz interpreters (Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Brad Mehldau, Esbjörn Svenson etc.), the three musicians are unanimously appreciated by an audience that is always enthusiastic.
