Les 1001 Nuits Du Jazz – Nina Simone
On the occasion of the centenary of the first recording of Jazz, the 1001 NUITS DU JAZZ retrace in music, twice a month and through 100 great evening-concerts, the different stages of the epic of jazz in the historic setting of the Bal Blomet . Each of them is punctuated by short presentations of artists, standards, episodes or significant musicological notions in the history of jazz. Raphaël Imbert, jazz saxophonist and lecturer, accompanied by Johan Farjot, pianist and conductor, offer with their guests access keys for the general public as well as a concert illustrating in music the themes addressed. A hundred artists representative of the jazz scene and eager to renew the contemporary concert will follow one another at the discretion of 1001 NIGHTS OF JAZZ. Among them, young talents from the Didier Lockwood Music Center and the National Conservatory of Music in Paris. LES 1001 NUITS DU JAZZ thus allows the public to rediscover a complete and entertaining history of jazz since its origins, by favoring the spirit of entertainment characteristic of the traditional jazz concert.
