Manu Guerrero invites us somewhere between the Andes and the Mediterranean.
Manu was born in Toulon and grew up in the south of France, immersed in the Mediterranean culture, while being rocked by the South American culture of his Peruvian mother. Later on, through various encounters, he discovered American pop and folk music as well as Afro-Cuban music to which he immediately felt very close. Then in high school, Manu fell in love with Afro-American jazz, which he would continue to study and which would allow him to express all the influences that constitute his identity. It was then that he began a professional career, very young, at only 18 years old.
After a long career of prestigious and eclectic sideman with about thirty stars of the French song (Celine Dion, Michel Sardou, J.J Goldman, M Pokora...), the jazz pianist finally reveals his compositions.
After the success of his first album "Nuevo Mundo", surrounded by Samy Thiebault, Felipe Cabrera, Lukmil Perez and Minino Garay, Manu Guerrero presents his new compositions surrounded this time by Thomas Delor on drums and Maurizio Congiu on double bass. Together, they highlight the South American rhythms of his music as well as its Mediterranean warmth. They come to play in altitude where the oxygen is rarer but where one perceives a little mistral of Provence.
A rhythmic, refined jazz with Latin accents and North American roots.
Maurizio Congiu: contrebasse
Thomas Delor: drums
