A Tribute To Nina Simone

Clémence de Tournemire is a singer with an atypical background, exploring music through jazz, paying tribute to the great divas of the genre, as well as through the composition of her own songs with pop tones (MiMüNiZ). By paying homage to Nina Simone, Clémence nourishes her desire to unite, through a universal repertoire where gospel, pop, afro beat and jazz are mixed with coherence.

Composed since 2019 of Ludovic Allainmat (piano), Sébastien Gastine (double bass) and Faraj Fakhoury (drums), this quartet revisits with freshness some twenty of the greatest hits of Nina Simone, the immense pianist, singer and committed artist, from "Sinnerman" to "Wild is the wind" (David Bowie) through the great standards "Love me or leave me", "Mood Indigo", "My baby just cares for me", "I loves you Porgy", "Feeling good", "Ain't got no, I got life"...
