Few drummers assume the role of leader and composer. With rare exceptions, the results often sacrifice the subtleties of melodic and harmonic development, only in favor of asymmetrical measures and complex tempo changes: the trio of French musician Thomas Delor, accompanied by guitarist Simon Martineau and bassist Georges Correia, radically breaks the rule.

Thomas Delor has succeeded in making his trio a unique group, with an unusual language, inimitable nuances and creativity that is both subtle and explosive. His compositions, arrangements and interpretations follow a similar and identifiable treatment from the first note, based on the exploration of his instrument which seems to us without limit, transforming it into a delicate mixture of rhythmic melodist and colorist.
