  • Free entrance
  • Free access with participation in the hat and increase of 1€ per drink

Every Sunday and Monday, la Rhumerie brings you together for a jazz evening that revives the tradition of St Germain des prés during the fifties, and offers a selection of rums and West Indian cuisine (surcharge + € 1 per order on concert days).

A Romanian-born violinist, Rares Morarescu is one of the rarest and most surprising contemporary jazz violinists. A child prodigy, he began the violin at the age of 5 and, from the age of 14, he performed on many international stages with the well-known taraf Cununa Carpatilor.
With his sincere and dedicated attachment to the Gypsy tradition and the Swing of the Belle Époque, he is considered one of the most faithful disciples of Grand Master Stéphane Grappelli.

Here in the company of a group specializing in Django music, with Vincent Simonelli on guitar in particular, they perform in a quartet to bring this repertoire to life...

Rares Morarescu : violin
Vincent Simonelli : guitar
Alexandre Arnaud : guitar
David Chiron : double bass
