The New York Blue Note Quintet

The New York Blue Note Quintet brings together five musicians whose obvious complicity, knowledge of jazz, stage experience and virtuosity translate into a particularly joyful sound and energy. These five musicians have shared the stage and recorded with an endless list of giants such as Ray Barretto, Cedar Walton, Jimmy Heath, Tom Harrell, Louis Hayes, Toshiko Akiyoshi or Harry Connick Jr... With this project, they brilliantly celebrate some of the timeless recordings of the legendary Blue Note label, with a selection of classics by masters such as Lee Morgan, Gigi Gryce, Jimmy Heath or Sam Jones, some standards or original compositions by the quintet members.
