Musina Ebobissé Quintet

After a critically acclaimed debut album, Musina Ebobissé returns with a second, Engrams, released on the Jazzdor Series label on March 31, 2023. Her quintet fashions a music that is both open and personal, crystallizing the incandescence of 60s jazz and the impressionist colors of the early 20th century. Musina joins forces with Olga Amelchenko, Simon Chivallon, Etienne Renard and Stéphane Adsuar, with whom he has already forged a strong affinity in various contexts. Together, they play a multi-faceted contemporary jazz, sometimes meditative, sometimes stormy, as the sound scenarios they create emerge. The five musicians explore melodic and rhythmic architectures with a sense of collective play that aims for a spellbinding narrative.
