AMG stands for Autophysiopsychic Music Gate, a nod to the title of an album by Yusef Lateef, who is one of the members' great influences, along with Pharoah Sanders, John Coltrane and Roland Kirk. The members of this group are constantly balancing between energy and subtlety, trying to create a journey through the timbres of each instrument in every performance.

These three letters, which also refer to the large cylinders of the German car industry, perfectly convey the energy of AMG's members: saxophonist Keïta Janota, pianist Antoine Fleury, bassist Anthony Jouravsky and drummer Mailo Rakotonanahary.

After successful appearances at the Duc des Lombards, the Sunset/Sunside and the Petite Halle, the members of AMG will be back at 38 Riv' on Monday July 17, 2023 at 8pm, shortly after their recent victories at the Golden Jazz Trophy and Emer Jazz springboards.
