Pianist Ramona Horvath invites flutist Emilie Calmé for a spellbinding evening of jazz, where these two exceptional musicians will take us on a musical journey inspired by their experiences travelling the world.
Emilie Calmé is a jazz flautist and composer. She studied music at the Bordeaux Conservatoire and University (DEM classical, DEM jazz, DEUG musicology), then moved to Bombay to learn bansuri with Indian flautist Hariprasaad Chaurasia. She met harmonica player Laurent Maur, with whom they formed Duologie, then Youpi quartet. In 2010, they move to Asia, between Beijing & Seoul, and become part of the Asian jazz scene.
Virtuoso pianist Ramona Horvath is known for her technical mastery and ability to capture the essence of every musical style she tackles. Tonight, she offers us a unique opportunity to discover her talent through original compositions.
