Xavier Belin – Pléonasme Season 2

Named by TSF Jazz as the "new star of Caribbean jazz", Xavier Belin is a very promising young pianist. His music is often defined as "Caribbean jazz", "Creole jazz" or "Afro-descendant jazz", because these terms make his music quickly identifiable. However, the pianist's music shows us that these terms are mere pleonasms, based on the constant fact that these musical styles stem from the same essence.

For this concert, Xavier Belin presents a repertoire of jazz standards from Martinique, Réunion, Haiti and Trinidad... Accompanied by the Fanfant brothers on rhythm, he takes us on an unparalleled musical journey.  

Created in 2012, the #JazzDeDemain slot has given rise to a series of monthly and bimonthly residencies, enabling young artists to experiment on stage, honing a repertoire, while presenting it to the public. A promising niche where creativity and emulsion know no bounds. #BeCurious!
