After a very attractive first season, Xavier Belin returns with a second season which will demonstrate to us the merits of his thinking by offering us jazz standards from Martinique, Reunion, via Haiti or even Trinidad performed by different From islands including Thierry Fanfant, Jean-Philippe Fanfant, Swaeli Mbappé, Michel Alibo, Tilo Bertholo, Ranto An’i Avo Rakotomalala, Arnaud Dolmen, Sonny Troupé, Lukmil Perez, Samuel F’Hima, Yann Villageois… The music of Xavier Belin, named by TSF jazz "new star of Caribbean jazz" during the release of his album PItakpi, is often defined as "Caribbean jazz", "Creole jazz" or even "Afro descendant jazz" making it thus quickly identifiable. The pianist shows us with this project that these terms are only pleonasms based on the constant that these musical styles come from the same essence. Created in 2012, the #JazzDeDemain niche gave birth to a series of monthly and bimonthly residencies, allowing young artists to experience the stage, to explore a repertoire, while presenting it to the public.
