Jam Session - Funky Time

Derived mainly from soul and jazz, funk is coming to Baiser Salé for two evenings!
Paying tribute to icons such as Johnny "Guitar" Watson, The Meters and Bill Withers, François Constantin invites us to a dynamic jam with repetitive rhythms that call for dancing. The smooth vocals of Bill Withers, the electric blues of Johnny "Guitar" Watson and the unique sound of The Meters promise a singular evening of funk, blues and danceable grooves!
For this, the percussionist calls on the best in the business!
Jo Champ, a Parisian singer-guitarist, inspired by the soul, blues and pop music of the 60s and 70s, Fred Dupont, one of the most talented organists of his generation, who has accompanied great artists such as Keziah Jones, Sanseverino, Étienne Mbappé, Paco Sery, Bill Evans and many others. And Tao Ehrlich, a young drummer and member of the Ishkero group, is a key figure on today's jazz scene.

From July 27 to September 11, the #FestivalEstivalDeJam #17 welcomes 200 musicians to spend a memorable summer with you at the Baiser Salé!

With 45 concerts and the participation of numerous jammers, experience the unforgettable jam session whether you're into fusion, free jazz, funk or even pop... there's something for everyone!

More than just a concert, a jam session is an opportunity to discover outstanding musicians and see them have a blast improvising together in complete freedom. But you don't need to play an instrument to take part in this very special moment, and enjoy the very special energy of these open stages. The public, beginners, amateurs, professionals, young and old... Everyone is welcome to come and measure themselves against the best and tackle these musical jousts that leave no one indifferent!

Every evening, a one-hour concert sets the scene for the evening, before the JAM takes us through the night, mixing yesterday's classics with today's trends.
