Cycles

Cycles born from the meeting between Sol Léna-Schroll and Clément Merienne at the Paris Conservatory and then from their continuations at the Norwegian Academy of Music in 0slo. The duo focuses its musical thinking on rhythmic, harmonic and melodic systems and around the phenomenon of resonance. Composition and improvisation are part of the material used to generate a musical material of their own, just like the prepared piano and the techniques extended to the saxophone that serve their artistic discourses. The duo released their first album in March 2023 on the Others Records label.
