Nirina Rakotomavo & Friends

Inspired by the likes of Pat Metheny, Michel Legrand and Bobby Mcferrin, Nirina Rakotomavo has been immersed in a variety of musical styles since her earliest childhood, enabling her to develop a rich and varied cultural palette. Born into a large family of musicians on Reunion Island, she is now an author, composer, arranger, pianist and singer, who has developed her own unique sound and language.

Tania Maria sings in English and Portuguese, mixing jazz, pop and blues, choro and samba. In addition to her deep voice, her style is particularly recognizable in the way she scats or whistles and simultaneously plays her melodies on the piano.

With Noé Chantraine on piano, and a formidable rhythm section with Benjamin Asnar on bass and Tilo Bertholo on drums!
