Magic Malik - Jazz Association 5Tet

One of the greatest flautists of French jazz, who has traveled all stages both as a leader (Magic Malik Orchestra, in Duo with Minino Garay...) and as a guest (Julien Lourau, Steve Coleman, Asa, Hocus Pocus ...), alongside French jazz talents from various backgrounds, set up their "studio" on the Baiser Salé stage for the recording of their next album. A unique and memorable experience to live live! Wayne Shorter, Sonny Rollins, Clifford Brown… Magic Malik has been working on the modern jazz repertoire since 2019! At the head of the Jazz Association, which includes in its ranks the brilliant trumpeter Olivier Laisney (Slugged, Oxyd, Gil Evans Paris Workshop...) and the pianist Maxime Sanchez (recent finalist of the Monk Competition), the unclassifiable flautist plays this music which fed him, without nostalgia and without repetition, with his humor, his fantasy presented and the memory of Eric Dolphy and Booker Little in the corner of his head.
