Jacques Vidal and his musicians pay tribute to Herbie Hancock by playing his most emblematic pieces.
Herbert Hancock, known as Herbie Hancock, was one of the most important and influential jazz musicians of his generation, blending elements of soul, funk, rock and disco with jazz.
He played with many of the great jazzmen of the 1960s and joined the Miles Davis quintet, with whom he redefined the role of the rhythm section. He was also one of the first to use synthesizers and scratching. Despite his experimentation, Herbie Hancock's music has remained melodic and accessible, occasionally achieving commercial success, particularly with Cantaloupe Island, Watermelon Man, Chameleon and Rockit.
