The Matis Hurion Thundercat Jam

An artist with a bewitching voice and a veritable virtuoso on the bass, Thundercat is honored by young drummer Matis Hurion! Whether jazz, funk, R&B or even electro, Thundercat brilliantly blends genres to create original, electric compositions. His boundless energy and charismatic stage presence captivate audiences and inspire the younger generation to transport their own audiences into a musical world where emotion and creativity meet.

Originally from the Paris region, Matis grew up in the south of France in an artistic family, with a composer father and author mother. He took his first steps at the Perpignan conservatory. With his DEM in hand in 2021, he decided to move to Paris, where he began frequenting the city's clubs and getting involved in various projects. In September of the same year, he joined the Pôle Supérieur de Paris Boulogne-Billancourt (PSPBB), where he is currently pursuing his musical studies, notably with Martin Wangermée. His influences include Robert Glasper, Kendrick Lamar, Nick Hakim, SiR... and renowned drummers such as CJ Thompson, Justin Tyson, Taron Lockett, Rico Nichols...

It promises to be a colorful, modern and dynamic year of jamming!
