Jean-Michel Pilc & Jonathan Orland

Led by saxophonist Jonathan Orland, this project is the result of his encounter with pianist Jean-Michel Pilc during his four-year stay in Montreal, and the quasi-telepathic feeling he experienced during their improvisation sessions. A fan of Gainsbourg’s music, Orland decided to record an album that would integrate free, wild interpretations of the artist’s compositions, with versions that stretch out far from the originals while always preserving their character. By getting lost in the world of Gainsbourg, the personalities of the two musicians stand out with brilliance.
