Lionel Suarez & Macha Gharibian

A subtle colorist, Lionel Suarez was able to give the accordion orchestral flavors that we could not even imagine. Composer, arranger, director, he plays with all styles and multiplies prestigious collaborations: from Claude Nougaro to Richard Bona, from André Minvielle to Airelle Besson, from Bernard Lavilliers to Charles Aznavour, from Sanseverino to Yaël Naim, and so many 'others. Free musician, prodigal, traveler, he composes, he unites, he assembles shows which are at the same time or successively music, theater, audacity, vertigo.
Awarded at the Victoires du Jazz in the “Revelation” category in 2020, Macha Gharibian has a triple musical heritage: Armenian, French and American. Drawing on these three cultures, she creates a universe of her own. On stage, with her deep and inhabited voice, she invites us on a journey, always with a gentle melancholy underlying it. Between jazz, soul and blues, between Paul Simon and traditional Armenian singing, Macha Gharibian combines her influences with rare coherence.
