Every Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Chez Georges welcomes the Alex Swing Events collective, which offers a varied and quality program, following a repertoire of swing / gypsy jazz, the music of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, and many others!
Chez Georges is a very pleasant wine bar on rue des canettes, with a magnificent vaulted cellar in the basement, transformed on Tuesday into a gypsy jazz club!
Born in 1981, Sébastien Giniaux is a musician in the broad sense, and his musical career is a clear reflection of this. Guitarist, cellist, composer and arranger, he began with classical music on the benches of the conservatory, then plunged in turn into French song, gypsy swing, Balkan music, jazz and contemporary music, African music. 'West, etc...
A leading guitarist on the gypsy scene for years, he has played with the greatest in these different styles. From his 5 years on stage with the legendary Romanian gypsy group Taraf de Haïdouks, his concerts with Lonica Minune, Giani Lincan, etc., Sébastien has kept a particular love for popular Balkan music, and his guitar playing has evolved. little by little imbued with the colors of this music. "Balkan Memories Trio" is a musical adventure in which Sébastien surrounded himself with two long-time friends to share a playground made of "lautaresc" music from Romania, Serbian kolos, horos from Bulgaria and even Macedonian cocëks . Personal compositions and improvisation take part in this Balkan celebration, with the desire to transmit a little of this poetry of the East, the crossroads between East and West...
