Meropp

Having met at the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood, the 5 musicians came together in 2021 following various work and improvisation sessions. Their music was initially influenced by traditional jazz, but eventually evolved into a repertoire of more contemporary compositions, inspired by Pat Metheny, Wayne Shorter and Brad Mehldau, as well as artists from other horizons such as Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix.

Comprising Baptiste Gilbert on guitar, Malou Oheix on vocals, Robin Rivoire on piano, Simon Desbiolles on double bass and Yanis Le Masle on drums, the group composes and arranges collectively, telling a story with each track.
