Leeway Vincent Payen brings us Free, the 4th opus from the soul-jazz band led by the trumpeter for 11 years now. Faithful to its artistic line, Leeway offers us instrumental music in the pure hard-bop tradition inspired by trumpeter Lee Morgan, as well as new songs composed by Vincent Payen, Sarah Koper, Bertrand Luzignant and Laurian Daire. 

Sarah, now at our side, writes the lyrics for many of the songs on this album, bringing us all her sensitivity and wealth of experience. For once, Leeway invites us to a concert of jazz tinged with soul and funk, the very essence of this group since its creation.
