Terez Montcalm

Térez Montcalm has always been one of those unclassifiable artists: the most rock of jazz singers? The jazziest of rock singers? The one who covers the world's great standards like no one else (from David Bowie to Neil Young, Eurythmics and Michael Jackson)? 
In her new album, Step Out " Step Out ", the singer-songwriter and guitarist from Quebec draws her inspiration from the soul, R'N'B and funk of the Motown years that rocked her in her youth. It's a brilliant reinterpretation, mostly in English, and one for which she's had the good sense to add some talented 'gang' members: long-time guitarist Jean Marie Ecay, bassist Laurent Vernerey and drummer Nicolas Viccaro.
