Singer Patricia Essong is back in a new ethno trip-hop medicinal vein, with a new holistic album sung in Duala, one of Cameroon's coastal languages and a vehicle for the great Sawa people from whom she hails. Healing Journey marks the first stop on Patricia's odyssey "Sur la route du sacré", a project she has launched in 2019. The words speak of healing, reconciliation, acceptance and inner paths. With a nü bantu (neo bantu) aesthetic, the music is electronic and organic, and the duala language heals in a breath, a cry, a soothing.
